Health Care

I absolutely love the democrats for passing this bill. This will surely allow the republicans to kick ass in November. They showed the people of this country their true colors and now the American public is ready to give them the finger and show them the door. A poll by MSNBC, which is a liberal leaning news source, showed that 2 out of 3 Americans didn't want the health care bill to pass. We the people tried to warn everyone about the socialistic agenda Obama was going to take with him to the white house but did you listen? NO. and now this will have to be fixed by the supreme court. I heard a really interesting legal argument the other day. Technically there is already precedent for this case. The Roe V. Wade decision established that a woman "has the right to choose her health care" therefor the people should be able to choose their health care as well. Why should those who do not want this health care have it pushed upon them? You could also argue it violates the 10th amendment. Establishing health care is not a right given to congress and therefor should be reserved by the states and people respectively. We shall see. I sincerely this back fires against the democrats. I really want to see Reid and Pelosi taken down, that would truly be a dream come true.

The Death Penalty

Capital Punishment has been around since the beginning of our country to punish criminals for dispicable acts. Quite frankley I am tired of people saying that we need to stop. If someone is sentanced to death by a jury of their peers then they comitted an act so vile that it desreves death. Life in prision is a stupid. The people who are sentacned to life in prision really don't have to pay for their actions.
Life in prision entitles them to three hots and a cot. In other words criminals get 3 meals and a place to sleep every day. This is better then the accomidations for a lot of people in this country. I don't get how people can defed criminals but want to kill innocent babys. Let me give you an example of a crime that I believe deserves capital punishment instead of life in prison.
In London a man was sentanced to life in prison in what they call Londons worst case of abuse. This 56 year old man, raped his daughters for about 20 years, had 9 children with them, 7 of which are still alive and this is not counting the abortions or the misscarages. This case is sickening. How can they allow a man like that to continue to walk this earth. This kind of crime is why capital punishment should be allowed. After what that man put his children through, there is no way that he sould be allowed to continue to walk this earth.
Think about this, if tthis crime was comitted here, our tax dollars would be going to this man to help feed him, give him showers, give him clean sheets to sleep in, and other daily materials. Our tax dollars shouldn't give someone like this a pot to piss in. I know this took place in london but we have the same kind of criminals here, and people like that don't deserve to live.

Off Shore Drilling

Off Shore Drilling is one of the hot topics it seems, so I figured that since I am in front of a computer I may as well write about it. I know environmentalists don't want it, but the fact is that it is really worth it. Why should we pay for fuel that pays for the terrorist acts against us? Why use that fuel when we can get our own right here at home for a heck of a lot cheaper.
I don't see this as a permanent solution and I am in no way against alternative energy, but this could help us until we reach that level of energy independence. It makes more sense for us to produce our own oil then it does for us to purchase it from the middle east and fund terrorism. Not only will this help make us energy independent, but it will also create jobs when we need them the most. This will ultimately help our economy more than anything else. While I understand these platforms may be ugly to look at, you have to ask your self what is more important, Killing a few fish and staring at something ugly or boosting our economy, creating jobs, and helping us to become energy independent as well as not allowing our money to go into the pockets of terrorists?

Facebook

Facebook is so funny. It's amazing how you can post something such as your feelings on prop 8 and the liberals attack it as if they were lions and it was a piece of steak. People honestly have nothing better to do then write a dozen comments that don't even change your mind. 

For example, my friend Chase has a facebook and he wrote something about how he feels on prop 8. This guy Sean, I don't even know him, writes a whole book on why we are wrong and just keeps going. He writes 2 pages and I write a paragraph. It's hilarious because he is wasting so much time writing the stupid stuff. He has nothing better to do than write page after page about why we are wrong. 

Don't people get that we are all entitled to our opinion. My favorite is when people post comments telling you to shut up. We all have the same right to the first amendment but as soon as you say something liberals don't agree with you no longer have that right. It's amazing. Liberals consider them selves "open minded" but there only open minded when you agree with them. Any way I wont waste anymore time on the idiots on facebook. 

Unfair media election coverage

There is no doubt that in this past election that the media was skewed to promote Barack Obama. Almost every story was about something positive Obama has done and how Joe Biden is just a swell guy, they never criticized him for all the errors he made. For example when he said that when the stock market crashed Roosevelt got on TV and told everybody what happened. First of all Roosevelt wasn't President in 1920 and there was no such thing as television!!!!

Now the media tore Sarah Palin apart every time she said something not so intelligent, yet this did not apply to Biden. Obama had many scandals involving his illegal aunt, questionable friends, and his immigration status. But no, you never heard about that on CBS now did you. After the election the washington post did a review and said that they were bias towards Barack Obama. 

This is ridiculous. I hope the same thing doesn't happen in 2012 because if it does than our democracy is at stake. We can not have main stream media only covering one candidate, no matter who it is. Republican or democrat the news should be fair and balanced. The job of the press is to provided facts and allow the people to decide. This time that just didn't happen and the election results showed that. 

A fairness law is trying to be passed that would make the media give equal time to conservative and liberal radio and talk shows. This is ridiculous and limits the first amendment. It is not the fault of the people that they like conservative show better than liberal ones, but lets face it, who wants to hear w hole bunch of democrats whine. Conservatives are just better. We cant limit our first amendment just because people don't like liberal talk shows. 

Abortion

How could you destroy something this innocent??? You say you believe in a women's right to choose, but I believe in the right to life. We have to protect those that cant protect themselves. How can you kill someone that has no way to defend themselves? The fact that the number of abortions each year in the US is in the millions is disgusting. How can you live with your self after getting rid of something so precious and innocent? People need to wake up and band together to stop this injustice. I don't care who you are, what your situation, babies are human, they have feelings and they have the same rights we do. If you cant support the child give it up for adoption, there are plenty of people willing to adopt children. The fact that we all turn our heads and don't step up to fight this injustice is disgusting. I hope one day we all live in a society where no child is murdered because someone was stupid enough to have sex and not realize the consequences. We have to speak for those who cant do it themselves.

Obama

Being a high school student in california, I am very aware of the fact that I am out numbered and that by having the views that I have that it makes some people angry. What I don't understand is that I have a friend who claims to be open minded and yet he can not accept the views that I have. It's not just him that holds this type of hostility towards me, but a lot of liberals seem to do the same thing which amazes me because they are always talking about how open minded they are. But there really open minded only if you agree with them. Talk about hypocritical. 

It will come as no surprise that I don't like Obama, but i don't understand how anyone could truly trust him. He says one thing and does another. He will tell you how great small town people are and then when he gets to a larger town say how stupid and uneducated people like you are. Actions speak louder than words. He said that he wanted to have a more moderate white house staff, so his chief of staff pick says "Fuck Republicans." Really. Wow, how can people do that. People are going to realize the mistakes that they have made. People have elected the same congress and senate that had a 8% approval rating.

Obamas plan to tax businesses will fail. No matter what the greedy business men will get their money. So when you start taxing them more all that they are going to do is fire more employees, which will cause an increase in unemployment, which will cause people to stop spending money which will eventually lead to another depression. Hopefully Obama will look back in history and realize that this type of plan has been tested and it failed. If you tax them more all that they will do is find other ways of coming up with the same money.
